Goal

We aim to act as a centralized charity to offer support and coordination between the local charities. Our ultimate goal is to be able be able to support these charities by offering a national rescue network and series of drop off centres throughout Spain.

Your donation will help save homeless, neglected and abused animals. Funds raised will contribute to the buiding of an animal santuary dedicated to the care of animals in Spain.

Fundraisng and Sponsorship

In order to reach our goals we are fully dependent on generating the budget necessary through business sponsorship and organizing fundraising events. Please contact us if you are interested in sponsorship or running charity fundraisers.

Land Needed in Andalucia

The Malaga Animal Protection Society currently houses our animals for adoption in loving foster homes. However, we would love to have at least 10 acres of land to begin our sanctuary where the animals could live out the rest of their lives in comfort if a new adoptive home cannot be found. Petition
Spain is one of the few developed countries in the world still not to have a centralized national animal charity. The Malaga Animal Protection Society is aiming to fill this gap. As part of our forthcoming national advertising campaign the Malaga Animal Protection Society is aiming to raise the level of awareness of the appalling amount of animal cruelty currently happening in Spain and to petition the Government into introducing stricter laws to prevent it. We are asking anyone who is against cruelty to animals to sign our online petition above.

Emergency number
We intend to introduce and promote a low cost telephone number throughout Spain for people to be able to report animals in distress. On dialing this number they can be swiftly directed to the nearest charity in that area. This is backed up here on our website where we are listing all the animal charities in Spain with links to their individual sites. Please register your charities details here

The reality is that animal neglect and cruelty exists and there are many animals in need of urgent medical attention and re-homing. We aim to raise awareness and enough funds to open a large animal sanctuary in the next 5 years. Read more...

Footbal Tournament

The Malaga Animal Protection Society with the kind assistance of Bar Olas hosted a 6 a side Pub Football tournament in Frigliana on Saturday 12th November. Numerous bars from all around Axarquia entered teams into the competition and enjoyed a great days entertainment.

Find out all you need to know about returning to the UK with your pets. With the financial crisis many of our favourite pets are returning to the UK with their owners. I always advice English clients to prepare the paperwork, just in case they ever want to go back, as we have now had many cases of devastated owners that need to go back, but are unable to take their beloved pets with them. If the paperwork is not a hundred percent correct, the pets will be rejected at the border. Let me try to explain what exactly should be done, so you can move freely with your pets at any time.
