MAPS Football Tournament
The Malaga Animal Protection Society with the kind assistance of Bar Olas hosted a 6 a side Pub Football tournament in Frigliana on Saturday 8th October. Numerous bars from all around Axarquia entered teams into the competition and enjoyed a great days entertainment. The winners on the day were the Sportsman Bar in Nerja who walked away with the engraved trophy. All profits raised at the event were donated to the Malaga Animal Protection Society to help with their quest to build a large animal sanctuary here in Anadalucia. The tournament was such a success that the next one has already been planned to take place on November 12th . Entry fees are €5 per player (minimum of 6 per team) Kick off is at 10 O' clock and we aim to finish before 4 ( England vs. Spain game at 5pm) Limited team places available
A Charity Pool competition has also been planned to take place at Bar Olas ( Burriana beach front) on Saturday 19th November commencing at 1pm with a cash prize going to the winner.

A big thank you to everyone who attended our pool competition at El Ancla on 18th June 2011. Ralph and Dave reached the final with Dave being the overall winner. Malaga Animal Protection Society raised €455.74 during the week, selling raffles and collecting at the El Ingenio.

East Sussex National
The first of the UK charity Golf day circuit organised to raise funds for MAPS and the RSPCA was hosted at East Sussex on Friday 28th of January. It was a great success with approximately 80 golfers enjoying both splendid weather and an excellently kept course.

The Ist Malaga Marathon was held on the 6th Dec. Our runners raised a total of 800€ between them. We would like to thank everyone who sponsored our runners and to all our volenteers for showing their support.
